De-Stress: A Guided Meditation

Evidence-based meditation for community crises led by a licensed mental health professional.

What this is: De-stress with licensed clinical social worker and holistic therapist, Laura Federico. Laura will lead an evidence-based meditation that has been proven to lower stress during community crises, such as the Haiti earthquake and 9/11. She will also offer tips on staying calm and focused when many of our usual coping mechanisms are not available. It is only 25min so employees can fit it into their schedules!

Who this is good for: Companies concerned about their employees’ anxiety and stress levels and want to offer a short session for relief. We recommend booking 4 consecutive weekly sessions so employees have the opportunity to build this as a regular practice, and an integral part of their work week.

Speaker bio: Laura Federico is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in self-worth concerns, the mind-body connection, and intimacy. She has special expertise in working with humanitarian stress and trauma. She received her MSW from Columbia University and completed her training at NYU.

Combat Burnout: A Values Clarification Exercise

Values clarification exercise to help employees find their personal compass during this pandemic.

Psychologist Dr. Gena Gorlin will offer a values clarification exercise to help employees healthily manage stress, burnout, anxiety, and work-life balance during the coronavirus pandemic. While there are many tools and tips available on “how” to manage these symptoms, Dr. Gorlin’s talk will instead focus on each individual’s “why” so they can find their guiding compass in navigating personal and work life and stressors due to the pandemic. This session includes 30 minutes of values clarification exercise and 15 minutes of answering any questions participants have about managing emotional, mental, and relational wellbeing.

Who this is good for: Companies concerned about employee burnout, challenges around balancing family and work life, and finding purpose and meaning amidst an increasingly uncertain future.

Speaker bio: Dr. Gena Gorlin, PhD is a Clinical Psychologist in Midtown Manhattan who specializes in depression, anxiety disorders, life transitions, career challenges, and relationships.
